Project Team Donates To Local School

Over the summer of 2010, Clark's project team sponsored a Children's Book Drive on behalf of the Septima Clark Public Charter School. The school, which recently relocated approximately three blocks from the project site in Anacostia, is DC's first all-boys public charter school and serves students from Pre-K through fourth grade with plans to expand to eighth grade in the future. The book drive represented a small part of the Team's ongoing partnership with the school. Clark employees have volunteered their time and resources in a variety of ways including furniture assembly, hanging pictures, and setting up classrooms prior to the start of the academic year. The project team was thrilled to deliver several large boxes of children's books to the faculty and students who will use them to help populate a growing library. The team will continue their work with the school over the coming years as part of Clark's commitment to giving back to the communities in which we work.
