Small Business Participation

Clark Construction Group, LLC (Clark) is committed to creating business opportunities for Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), HUBZone, Veteran-Owned Business (VOSB), and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). As an essential element in the construction process, Clark has established and implemented an honorable, progressive, innovative, and goal-oriented program that serves GSA and all sectors of the District of Columbia, and will ensure that maximum opportunities exist for small business firms.

Clark believes that SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB and SDVOSB should have the maximum practical opportunity to participate in resultant subcontracts and purchase orders generated by the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters Building (USCG) project at St Elizabeths West Campus. An integral part of how Clark does business every day is working with small businesses and large subcontracting firms willing to create partnerships and subcontracting arrangements with small business firms. By helping small subcontractors to not only gain contracts, but gain valuable experience by working with already highly successful companies in their respective trades, has led to opportunities on many projects. Through our efforts in the Washington Metropolitan Area, Clark has awarded some $3 Billion in contracts to SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB and SDVOS businesses in the last ten (10) years.

Reference the procurement schedule in the link for Procurement. Through an aggressive bidding and procurement strategy to achieve the USCG project’s goals and objectives, to date the following small businesses have been successful in getting opportunities on the New U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters Building at the St. Elizabeths West Campus.

To supplement the capabilities of local, small and/or disadvantaged businesses in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Clark’s team utilizes its 10-month intensive training program - the "Small Business Strategic Partnership Program." Participation in this program supports their long-term business growth and improves their performance on projects. Information on how to participate in Clark’s Small Business Strategic Partnership Program can be obtained by contacting Mr. Wesley Stith at 301 272-6884 or Ms. Elisa Brown at 301 272-6930.
